It was Halloween in Philadelphia and the biggest news in town was that the Ting Tings were playing a Myspace Secret Show at The Barbary to a mere 150 fans. Okay, maybe our show wasn't exactly the biggest news in town.

After all, two days earlier the Phillies had won their first World Series in nearly 30 years, resulting in a massive parade that overtook the City that afternoon. But for those lucky fans who got to kick off their Halloween with this very special Secret Show, baseball was the last thing on their mind. Many of the Ting Tings diehard fans lined up outside The Barbary early in the even, dressed in costumes -- just as drummer Jules De Martino and singer Katie White had requested. Both the band and their road crew returned the favor, as they donned skeleton suits before hitting the stage. From there, the band played one hit after another, starting early with "Great DJ."

We gotta say, it was deffinitely awesome to see some guy dressed up as the bunny from "Donnie Darko" singing lines like "Imagine all the boys!" back at the band, and the Ting Tings thought so, too. "

That guy is the coolest dude here," Katie said, motioning toward the bunny. "

I just wish it wasn't so freakin' hot!" he replied.

The band then slowed things down with the ballad "Traffic Light," before churning out "Shut Up And Let Me Go" and "That's Not My Name," both of which resulted in over-the-top sing alongs. "Its nice to be able to play a show where we can actually see your faces," Katie said, as the night wound down. Indeed, this was a very unique show -- for both the Ting Tings and their fans -- and we have to send out a huge thanks to the band for doing it.

In addition, props should go out to Sean at R5 productions, Lars at Columbia, the staff at The Barbary and, finally, the band's road crew for donning those amazing skeleton costumes. As Donnie Darko guy put it, those things must have been "freakin hot." So thanks to them. As for everyone else, we'll see you at the next show...
