After months of posting comments and forums, eagerly demanding that we bring their favorite bands to their hometowns, Canadians finally witnessed their first MySpace Secret Show. Although it was in Toronto, the rest of Canada and the world were able to tune in from their homes and watch it LIVE!

Canadian punk icons Billy Talent went back to their roots and welcomed 500 of their most hardcore fans to share a special night with them in a small club in their hometown. MySpacers stood in line from as early as 7 AM to ensure their entry and stake their spots in the front row. Some missed work, students skipped school, others ditched early, and everyone who showed up got in.

Fellow Toronto-ans Uncut kicked the night off with 40 minutes of hearty rock music. Billy Talent took the stage shortly after 9:00 to a screaming crowd that nearly drowned out their amps. The energy generated between the band and its audience was enough to power all of Little Italy. The show was raw, sweaty, loud and perfect.

It was also historic. The first MySpace Secret Show in Canada was the first MySpace Secret Show to stream LIVE! Those who were there witnessed a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Those at home got to watch in awe. Yet this is merely a sign of what’s in store for Canadians. So tell your friends, and keep an eye on your bulletins. Your town just might get the next one!
